Traveller from Abergavenny stayed in July,2009

The hotel is ideally situated for the Echo Arena. It was clean and well maintained. Reception and bar staff extremely helpful - unfortunately the same cannot be said of the staff in the dining area at breakfast time! Tables were not cleared and wiped. Cutlery was filthy. Fruit, bread, etc. were not automatically re stocked and the attitude of the staff when asked for anything was appallingly surly! - This was not a "one off" it happened on both mornings. What a shame. I would however stay here again because of the location but would find somewhere else to have breakfast!!

Top Tip:
Liverpool 1 is just a short walk away - good shopping!! Big John Lewis!! The Albert Dock area has been regenerated and is very pleasant - and clean. Unfortunately there is a horrid smell from The Mersey when the tide is out!
